Haryana Government is ready to introduce Electronic or Electric Buses under ‘Make in India’ program, to establish environment-friendly transportation system in India.

Haryana Government introducing Electric Buses under Make in India ProgramRecently the Haryana government has announced that they introducing electric buses in Gurugram, to eradicate air pollution. Haryana Urban Local Bodies (ULB) Minister Kavita Jain said that they will plan to start around 75-100 electric buses in the first phase.

Haryana Government Electric Buses:

Kavita  Jain said that Haryana Government sent a commission to JBM Solaris Electric Vehicles Limited manufacturing plant which is located in Poznan, Poland. The commission said these electronic buses are pollution-free and saved a lot of carbon releases.

Compared to ordinary buses and each electronic bus can save up to 4.25 lakh litres diesel. Also, helps to the environment.These electric buses can reduce 1,150 tons of carbon releases in 10 years of operation.

This will provide environment-friendly transportation. These electric buses are free from noise and pollution and do not require fossil fuels to run. She added in the first phase, Electric Buses are only operated in Gurugram.

“This would not only reduce traffic congestion but would also provide better public transport system to an average of 50,000 persons every day. Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, Municipal Corporation – Gurugram and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) would bear 50 percent, 40 percent and 10 percent of the cost of the project, respectively,” she said.

Also Kavita Jain Said, already The JBM Group has established its own manufacturing plant in India for manufacturing CNG buses, which is located at Ballabhgarh near Faridabad, this plant will soon begin the manufacturing of electric buses under the ‘Make in India’ program.
