Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) announced that the Honda City Fourth Generation crossed 2.5 lakh units sold in India just after the launch of the model, 30 months back.
In earlier 2014 the Fourth Generation Honda City was introduced in India, it has achieved roaring success in sales over the country, and Honda City became the best-selling car in India from Honda Motors.

In January 1998 the First Generation Honda City was launched in India. Till date, the company has sold more than 6.8 lakh units of the sedan in the Indian market, making it a segment leader. India is the most important and largest selling market for the Honda City and accounts for over 25 percent of its worldwide sales.
Honda City Fourth Generation:
Globally, Honda City has registered cumulative sales of over 3.5 million units in more than 60 countries. Of this, over one million units are of the Fourth Generation model.
