The Youngest Pilot of India: Ayesha Aziz


Ayesha Aziz Biography:

A 16 years old Kashmir girl Ayesha Aziz became the youngest pilot of India. In 2011 Ayesha graduated in Aviation from Bombay Flying Club and got pilot’s license.

At the Bombay Flying Club, Ayesha is one of the only 4 girls studying B.Sc. 3rd year in Aviation. But, this does not pull her down and once she completes 80 hours of the total 200 hours of flying, Ayesha will finally gain the commercial pilot license.

As per the report published in IB Times, currently, Ayesha is a member of Indian Women Pilots’ Association (IWPA). Also, she pilots Cessna 152 and Cessna 172 aircraft.

In 2012 January, at Russia’s Sokul Airbase she flew MIG-29 fighter jet plane. She met former NASA astronaut John McBride during her Advanced Space Training Course. Also, she met Indian-American Astronaut Sunitha Williams and Indian woman pilot Rabia Futehally. In 2017, Ayesha received commercial pilot’s license.

Ayesha Aziz Family:

Ayesha mother is from the Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, her father is from Mumbai (Maharashtra). Her siblings are Areeb Lokhandwala and Nadiya Mattoo. Ayesha is an inspiration and motivation for all the girls especially Kashmiri girls. Ayesha has done several photo shoots for a magazine and a commercial ad.
