Sixth generation Volkswagen Polo 2017 has launched by Volkswagen. With this update, Polo becomes bigger on the inside, becomes more efficient and more environmentally friendly.

New Volkswagen Polo 2017 highlights are new design AND exterior dimensions. this new Volkswagen Polo 2017 is 81mm longer, 69mm wider and 7mm lower. The maker of Volkswagen Polo claims that the new Polo is much more spacious compared to in its segment. The 94mm increased wheelbase gives better cabin space as well as boot space. It has 351-litre boot space, this says 25% increase to the previous model.
Volkswagen Polo design called as charismatic, progressive, contemporary and friendly. Coming to its new features its includes new headlight design with LED DRLs, heavily sculpted body, single-slat grille, wide air dam, new LED tail lamps and 14 to 18-inch wheels. Available in 14 paint options. Optional variant offers wireless gadget charging, full-LED headlamps, sunroof (panoramic). Comes with new horizontally arranged element dashboard makes you feel bigger cabin and dashboard painted with the metallic insert in 13 different colours mostly matched with the exterior paint colour. This is the first car from Volkswagen to get new generation Active info display, with customizable display screens. This will get 6.5-inches to 8.0-inches display depends on the variant.
Volkswagen Polo 2017 Price:
In 2017 new Polo 2017 will be launched in international markets, price starts from 9.37 Lakhs (approx. 12,975 Euros). Available in three levels – Comfortline, Trendline and Highline, along with special packages such as R-Line, Black, Style and a Beats special edition.
Coming to the Performance:
It ha 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor now delivers 200PS of maximum power with power sent through a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG to the front wheels. The Volkswagen Polo GTI sold in India, it features 1.8-litre TSI motor delivers 192PS/250Nm with a claimed 0-100kmph time of 7.2 seconds.
The 2017 Volkswagen Polo is indeed exciting, we in India may not get it at all. The new Polo we see here is based on an all-new MQB A0 modular platform which may be too expensive to be assembled in India. Volkswagen is currently collaborating with Tata Motors to develop India-specific products and the next-gen Polo may be part of that project. Expect the India-bound Polo to borrow design and equipment from the international model though.
